MACABALAN, Cagayan de Oro City (Feb. 19)—The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 10 (BFAR-10) employees welcome National Director Elizer S. Salilig to the Regional Office, today.

The National Director gave an inspirational talk highlighting the need to improve and strengthen the Bureau’s operations through quality service to the people and strong work commitment and dedication.

“I never thought about becoming a National Director of BFAR, nor did I ever plan on becoming one, but fate brought me to this great height and responsibility because God knows that I can contribute to the office and our country’s fisheries sector,” ND Salilig stated.

The chief executive also expressed his eagerness to help resolve the challenges and issues faced by fisherfolk in the West Philippine Sea. 

The former BFAR Region 4B (MIMAROPA) director, now National Director, was born and raised from humble beginnings in Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, a landlocked province in Northern Mindanao.

As someone who rose from the ranks, he engaged with the rank-and-file employees, reaffirming his intent for a #OneHeartOneDirection Bureau. (CLViajante//BFAR-10)
