Jomarie Mundas, an employee of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 10 (BFAR-10), recently completed an esteemed academic journey as a master’s student at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Ghent University, and the University of Antwerp. Graduating cum laude with a Master of Science in Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management (Oceans and Lakes), Jomarie’s achievement reflects both his academic excellence and deep commitment to marine and aquatic sciences.

This accomplishment was made possible by the prestigious Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Raad (Flemish Interuniversities Council) and Universitaire Ontwikkelingssamenwerking (University Development Co-operation) International Course Programmes (VLIR-UOS ICP) Connect Scholarship Program, awarded by the Belgian Government to support students from developing countries in advancing expertise in sustainable development. Jomarie’s work perfectly aligns with this mission, which is focused on conserving and managing marine and freshwater ecosystems.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jomarie for his remarkable achievement. His success brings pride to BFAR and contributes to the global advancement of fisheries and aquatic science.

Congratulations, Jomarie! Your dedication and hard work inspire us all. (PMEU##)
